Nilusha Dore, M.Ed, RP.

Registered Psychotherapist

Nilusha makes use of multiple modalities in her work, in order to tailor her sessions to her clients’ individual needs; these modalities include CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, and numerous others. With that said, in all of her work she takes a client-centred approach that is informed by Attachment Science, trauma theory, and neuropsychology.

Nilusha became a psychotherapist because she truly believes in the strength of the human spirit, but she also believes that we are at our strongest when we have meaningful, supportive connections in our lives. She loves helping her clients to understand the impact they have on the world around them and vice versa, by developing relationships with her clients that are strengths-based, client-centered, and driven by her clients’ own goals for their lives. She has seen the valuable changes that can happen when individuals feel safe and supported within a therapeutic setting; it is always her aim to bring this sense of security to the work she does with each of her clients.

Education: Master of Education, License with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario
