Dr. Kathy Lemieux, Ph.D., C.Psych.

Psychologist

Dr. Lemieux has extensive experience working in various mental health agencies with a diverse population of children, adolescents and their families. She has a particular interest and training in cognitive- behavioural therapy, and expertise in CBT and DBT. Kathy treats a wide range of child and adolescent mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, OCD, anger issues, gender/sexuality, ADHD and more. In addition to working and completing her PhD., Dr. Lemieux dedicated time to raising her own family and volunteering within her community, which kept her connected and highly attuned to the needs of children and teens, and furthered her passion for helping others overcome obstacles, feel successful, and achieve good mental health.

Dr. Lemieux has had the pleasure of joining the Oak Centre team, where she has been working with families in addressing their various needs. With her warm and welcoming personality, her priority has been to form strong connections with her clients as she sees that such a connection fosters trust and enables her to work collaboratively with them to achieve their treatment goals, using evidence based best practices. In addition to her strong academic background and skillset, Dr. Lemieux continues to go over and above in seeking out new resources to better understand her clients, and in finding creative solutions to help clients move forward.

Education: Master of Arts in Psychology, Ph.D. in Clinical Developmental Psychology, License with the College of Psychologists of Ontario
