Kim Garvey, MA, C.Psych.

Psychologist

Over the course of her career, Kim has had extensive experience working with children and adolescents, as an elementary school teacher, teacher of the gifted, and high school special education teacher, in addition to almost 20 years of conducting psychological assessments, both within private practice and within the Board of Education. She is extremely competent in assessing for a range of neurodevelopmental and psychiatric diagnoses, including Autism Spectrum Disorders, Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Disabilities, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders, Social Communication Disorders, and others.

Not only is she highly skilled, with excellent oral and written communication abilities, she has a keen understanding of what a child requires to succeed at school in meeting their full potential. Kim continuously seeks out and pursues innovate assessment approaches, testing materials, application of test results to children and adolescents in the classroom in efforts to facilitate their ability to thrive.

Education: Teachers Certification, Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology, License with the College of Psychologists of Ontario
